Course Description
This risk assessment course, provided by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), will increase the student’s knowledge and understanding of risk assessment and risk mitigation. This course increases knowledge on identifying hazards, assessing those risks, implementing the hierarchy of controls, and consequences associated with such hazards by using the Risk Assessment Matrix. More importantly, this course dives into greater detail of applying the hierarchy of controls and understanding how the process helps to further mitigate risks. In addition to these items, the course also explores proper documentation for conducting a thorough risk assessment and how these practices can be used universally in any industry.
